WES Drop-off and Dismissal Procedures
Student Drop-off and Dismissal
Drop-off
- All students being dropped off by a car will need to be dropped off in the front of school.
- Enter from 40th street and come down Imperial Ave to drop off in the front.
- Stay right when entering the school drive thru to drop off at the curb, pull as far forward as possible, stop at the curb and have your student get out by themselves on the passenger side only.
- Parents need to stay in car and leaves as soon as possible to keep the flow moving.
- If students will need help to exit the car, please park on the street and walk them to gate. Please use the crosswalk.
- Due to safety concerns students cannot cross the street or parking lot by themselves.
Dismissal
- The 1st and 2nd car pick up line will be in the front of the school.
- Enter the neighborhood from 40th Street and please wait in line. Stay to the right and do not pass. Pull all the way forward.
- To speed up dismissal you can display your students name on the right side of your windshield.
- Pre-K, TK and K parents must park on the street and walk to the doors or gates to pick up students (until sibling release is introduced).
- All cars leaving the front of the school need to turn left and return to 40th street.
- Siblings should all go with the youngest student, so pick up all kids in the front if one of your students is in TK-2.
- Busses will be loading in the back of the school along the curb.
- The 3rd through 5th grade car dismissal line will wait at the corner of 35th and Holiday and line up along 35th until the busses have left.
- Cars will then enter the driveway loop, stay to the right and stop at the curb.
- To speed up dismissal you can display your students name on the right side of your windshield. No walking up to the back gate is allowed at this gate.
- Students who are walking home, will be released from the front of the school through the middle gate.
If you have any questions or need clarification about the drop off or dismissal procedures do not hesitate to call Mr. Holmes, Principal, or Mrs. Ament Assistant Principal.
